Homer

Homer is an excellent Mediterranean restaurant perfect for sharing flavorful dishes with friends. The menu starts strong with a trio of spreads—freshly made pita bread paired with cumin and chickpeas in hummus, labneh with dried tomatoes, and a vibrant mix of carrots, walnuts, jalapeño oil, and pomegranate. The rotating menu highlights the freshest ingredients and seasonal veggies, making it very vegetarian-friendly. Standout dishes include the roasted chicken with chili-fruit paste and the grilled eggplant with brown butter, pomegranate molasses, pistachio milk, and za’atar, each bursting with rich, layered flavors.

The interior at Homer is cozy and charming, which adds to the dining experience, and though there’s often a wait, it’s well worth it. They don’t take reservations, so arriving 10 to 15 minutes before opening is recommended. Ending the meal with their rotating soft serve, which includes both dairy and vegan options, is a must. Many who try Homer find themselves returning time and time again.
